Join us in an afternoon session with Tom Conkle. During this time, he will do a quick review of the NIST Privacy Framework, how it is implemented, privacy risk assessments, and how the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and Privacy Frameworks align.
The new NIST Privacy Framework (announced Jan 16th, 2020) was written in a manner to make it easy for organizations to implement alongside the CyberSecurity Framework to gain efficiencies when achieving cybersecurity and privacy goals. Companies of all sizes are exploring frameworks to help them define, measure, and communicate their progress in today’s privacy and security minded world. Come learn how a blended framework may be the answer.
As a member of the NIST CSF development and outreach team, Tom assisted in the development of the CSF and industries adoption. He also helps businesses like ours implement both security and privacy frameworks together. He is in town for an ITMA meeting in the morning and has time to share with WMCSC in the afternoon.
